These rules exist to maintain fairness, immersion, and long-term roleplay quality. Respect them, and you'll have one of the best RP experiences out there.
CORE ROLEPLAY STANDARDS
SERIOUS ROLEPLAY
Sunset Drive is a serious, story-driven environment. Keep actions realistic, grounded, and connected to the city.
VALUE LIFE
Your character must fear injury, death, and meaningful consequences at all times.
STAY IN CHARACTER
Remain in character unless using clearly designated out-of-character channels.
NO FAIL RP
Do not ignore scene logic, consequences, or realistic reactions just to force an outcome.
RESPECT & COMMUNITY
RESPECT OVER EGO
No harassment, toxicity, hate speech, trolling, or behavior meant to ruin the experience for others.
NO POWERGAMING
Do not force actions onto other players without allowing fair response and roleplay.
NO METAGAMING
Do not use information your character would not reasonably know in character.
COMBAT & VIOLENCE
NO RDM
Random killing without proper roleplay, scene build-up, or justification is prohibited.
NO VDM
Do not use vehicles as weapons without valid roleplay justification.
CONFLICT MUST BE EARNED
Violence should come from meaningful tension, escalation, and believable character motivation.
CRIME & FACTIONS
STRUCTURED CRIME RP
Criminal activity should involve planning, risk, city awareness, and believable consequences.
NO RANDOM ROBBERIES
Interactions must be meaningful and roleplay-driven, not spammy or low-effort.
FACTION BEHAVIOR
Groups and factions should act with identity, hierarchy, purpose, and city awareness.
POLICE & EMS
FOLLOW CHAIN OF COMMAND
PD and EMS should operate professionally and within department standards.
NO ABUSE OF POWER
Authority cannot be used unfairly, carelessly, or for personal gain.
FAIR RP FIRST
Public service roleplay should create story and immersion, not shut scenes down without reason.
ECONOMY & BUSINESSES
NO EXPLOITS
Duping, glitches, and economy abuse of any kind are strictly prohibited.
FAIR BUSINESS PLAY
Businesses should operate realistically and not abuse loopholes or systems.
NO PAY-TO-WIN ABUSE
Premium content cannot be used to create unfair dominance over other players.
JOBS & CIVILIAN RP
LEGITIMATE WORK RP
Jobs like trucking, fishing, taxi, and other civilian roles should be treated as real career paths.
NO AFK FARMING
Active participation is required. Passive grinding or automation is not allowed.
CIVILIAN STORIES MATTER
Not all roleplay is crime. Build real character progression through legal city life too.
RACING & CAR CULTURE
RESPECT RACING RP
Racing is a core part of the city. Keep it roleplay-driven and tied to the larger server world.
NO GRIEFING EVENTS
Do not disrupt meets, races, or car gatherings just to troll or chaos-farm.
FAIR COMPETITION
Do not exploit vehicles, mechanics, or bugs to gain unfair racing advantage.
